Lao Ra’s ‘No Pressure’, is the perfect prelude to her new project, to be unveiled across the year. Her brand new sweetly convincing tropical-electro-pop tune, is available now on Black Butter Records.

“‘No Pressure’ – says the Bogota-born artist – is about emotional unavailability. It’s that feeling of not being able to give more of yourself in a new relationship because of a past love that still lingers, and the offer of something transient instead.”

Lao Ra and her brothers, grew up in Bogota, one of the most violent cities in the world, where they found welcome distraction from the war on drugs (in inner-city Bogota) via the sheltered escapism of MTV…Sparking Lao Ra to start writing songs at the age of twelve. She finished school and studied at a music college in Colombia, working for a fire alarm company and in a football pub to make ends meet (there’s a Real Madrid tattoo on her foot, so she fitted right in)…
