Hailing from Ireland via Spain (where her family ran an Irish pub), 19-yr-old London based, neo soul/hip hop artist Big Piig, drops new track ‘Vice City, which was nicely produced by YSK Jamie.
Speaking of the sweetly jazzy, slow jam bliss, she says…”‘Vice City was written at a time where I was working hard at the casino and was super tired, as a note to myself reminding me that I can do whatever I want to do but it takes time and energy (so if I’m willing to keep dedicated and pushing myself, I will get somewhere). And once I do get some place, I want to look around and see those who really know me standing prouder too, cause they grew me to who I am and who I am becoming, and in the end they’re all that really matters.”
‘Vice City’ is the ideal follow up tune to debut track ’24k’. That got came with an interesting DIY video, in which each color represents a different part of a relationship, it’s the fruit of her collaboration with London-based Nine8 Collective.
Interestingly…The striking pseudonym of Biig Piig itself arrived after drunkenly reading the name off a pizza menu and relating to its unexpected charm (“the more I called myself it, the more it made sense. I’m just a mess really. Still cute tho.”).
