Waiting For Smith, the rising British singer-songwriter, has finally unveiled his highly anticipated debut album, Raised Up, following the success of its title track. Departing from conventional music themes, Waiting For Smith traverses themes of vibrational joy, self-worth, positivity, and letting go, challenging the notion that music should focus solely on negativity and superficial success.

Waiting For Smith explains, “I feel this LP can help reduce your anxiety and feelings of unworthiness, and I really want it to increase your happiness, increase your feelings of positivity, and raise you up to a state of vibrational joy – like it has for me. As someone who has experienced a lot of pain – both mentally and physically, from breaking my back to overcoming severe mental health struggles and dying for 5 minutes only to come out the other side to feel joy most days – I want to share this message of joy that I’ve found with others: my family, friends, my love, my listeners, and really anyone I meet.”

Drawing from personal experiences of overcoming pain and mental health struggles, Waiting For Smith aims to share the message of joy he’s found with his audience.

The album’s 10 tracks, produced and mixed by Danton Supple, blend acoustic folk with pop sensibilities, soulful vocals, soothing piano lines, and ambient soundscapes, showcasing Waiting For Smith’s uninhibited creativity. Opening with the fan-favorite Let Light In, the album sets a hopeful tone, with each subsequent track unfolding like a chapter in a profound narrative.

Feel Ya Flow emerges as a spirited anthem, encouraging listeners to embrace life’s boundless possibilities with infectious rhythms and uplifting vocals. Tracks like Small Things and White Light of Love offer moments of introspection and solace, serving as gentle reminders to cherish life’s simple pleasures. It’s No Sign that leads listeners on a journey of empowerment, urging them to embrace their unique gifts and forge their own path with confidence.

Fresh off support tours with James Mcvey and Benedict Cork, Waiting For Smith is set to headline shows in Paris and London, continuing to captivate audiences and build his fan base. With millions of streams and accolades from industry figures and media outlets worldwide, Waiting For Smith is carving out a distinctive space in the indie folk/pop landscape.
