Stockport singer-songwriter Bec O’Malley pairs Nashville pop-country influences with a North West perspective on See It From Here, co-written and produced by Adam Argyle.
His fourth release, taken from the upcoming EP Homeward Bound, combines country, folk and Americana with acoustic-led production. Argyle, whose credits include James Bay and Myles Smith, collaborates with O’Malley on a song centred on finding happiness in someone’s company.
See It From Here is a feel-good love song about how no matter where you are with the person you love, it will always be the best view. Sonically, it leans on that classic Nashville pop-country sound, but with a British edge running underneath it.
O’Malley’s songwriting draws on growing up in the North West, following years of local gigs, Irish bar performances and writing sessions between Manchester and Liverpool. His first online attention came in 2024 through a cover of Dylan Gossett’s Coal, filmed during a Peak District hike. An unremembered lyric and a laugh became part of the performance, not a reason to start again.
Debut single Let You Go has reached 3.8 million streams, while Two People Talking has passed 1.5 million. Previous release Back To The Rain, inspired by time in Los Angeles and the pull of home, received BBC Introducing Manchester airplay on 10 September.
That audience is also following him into venues. His November headline run across the UK and Ireland has sold out, with a Country to Country festival appearance and a larger headline tour announced for 2027.
