The five-track EP turns years of gigging into a sharper, more confident snapshot of the band’s evolution.
For The Falls, the stage came before the studio. Many of the songs on their second EP, Would You Do It All Over Again?, were tested in front of live audiences, changing shape through packed rooms before being committed to record.
That process gives the Manchester four-piece’s latest project its urgency. Released via Revo Pro, the EP combines bright guitar hooks and tightly built choruses with lyrics exploring uncertainty, ambition and the feeling that life is accelerating faster than you can process it.
Produced, mixed and mastered by Luke Owens, the five-track release includes Open Fire, The Other Side, Loaded Gun, City Lights and final single Blink. Together, they trace a loose emotional journey from frustration and unresolved history towards perspective and optimism.
Inspired by Martin Scorsese’s The Departed, Loaded Gun confronts the difficulty of escaping the past. Blink looks in the opposite direction, capturing the excitement and impermanence of youth while warning how easily significant moments can disappear.
The EP follows 2025’s Viva La Falls, which has generated more than 100,000 streams and attracted support from Radio X’s John Kennedy. Since then, the band have headlined Manchester Academy and sold out Gullivers in under 24 hours, leading to an additional intimate show at The Castle Hotel.
The Falls will support the release with UK headline dates across September and November before taking their live show to Italy for the first time.
