SOFY’s ‘socks’ immediately catch your attention

" I wanted the production to feel cinematic and euphoric to match that feeling, with big guitar riffs and drums and atmospheric, dreamy synths.”

SOFY has quickly taken over the British pop music scene with her cleverly written lyrics and fun ambience. She’s got millions of streams and is definitely a rising star to watch out for in 2023 and beyond.

The super lively and talented pop singer, SOFY, is making a comeback with a brand new release for her die-hard fans, or as she fondly calls them, her rats.

This engaging track called socks grabs your attention right away with its super catchy drums and electrifying guitar solos. Right off the bat, you’ll feel the high energy radiating from SOFY‘s incredible vocals.

Once that beat starts kicking in, you can’t help but feel the energy filling the air. And just when you think it can’t get any better, BAM! The chorus hits and it’s so catchy you can’t resist singing along: “Blue skies every morning/when I’m wearing your socks to sleep in.”

SOFY is seriously talented at blending catchy melodies with epic choruses. Making a sonic wave that comes from uncontrolled energy and euphoria.

When that bass drop hits, it takes “socks” to a whole new level. With its 80s-inspired melody and energetic beats, this song’s perfect for your summer pool parties and BBQ gatherings.

Just like SOFY herself put it: “‘socks’ is a full blown indie love song. It’s about falling when you least expect it, and not realising that something was missing from your life until it appears and suddenly everything you see and do feels different – ‘love songs used to make me laugh, ‘til I met you.’ I got the idea for it when, a couple of months after meeting someone, I noticed I’d been wearing his socks to bed for a week. I then realised I was completely head over heels in love with him and that there was probably a song in there somewhere – about how love somehow hits you slowly and all at once at the same time. I wanted the production to feel cinematic and euphoric to match that feeling, with big guitar riffs and drums and atmospheric, dreamy synths.”

Socks is still keeping up the awesome momentum of her past two EPs, Bored in Colour (Pt.1) and Bored In Colour (Pt.2). SOFY‘s catchy hooks and throwback feels to the Brit-pop era of the 00s era of the 00s completely hit the spot.
