British Olympic medalist Max Whitlock delivers an awe-inspiring performance, to demonstrate the incredible flexibility of Paul Smith’s A Suit To Travel In. In the video Max puts the suit through its paces with a series of demanding gymnastic moves, all without causing a single crease. Designed for Movement…
The suit is made from high-twist 100% worsted wool designed for movement, this means you’ll stay looking sharp whether you’re executing a technically perfect backflip, twists, flips and spins like Max, or doing nothing more strenuous than raising a glass.Wool is naturally breathable and wicking, which helps to regulate your body temperature, but the fabric also has incredible life and vitality that helps to keep the suit looking pristine.
Paul Smith explains: “The yarn comes from the underbelly of a Merino sheep, which has very long hair. They take that long yarn and they twist it and twist it, then the cloth is also woven very tight. This means that when the suit is made it’s got this lustrous, lively quality – this strong bounce…”
He adds: “If, as a young child, you took a piece of string and twisted you suddenly realised that it leapt into this spiral and that’s basically what happens here.”
