Sugababes will release their self-titled album on February 12, 2027, via Sacred Three/The Orchard.
The 12-track record is the first full studio album from the original trio of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy since One Touch in 2000. Its first single, Ghost, is out now.
Written by the trio with Jon Shave and Wayne Hector, Ghost addresses an ex whose presence lingers after a relationship ends. Thomas James directed the accompanying video, scheduled for release at 5pm BST on 24 September.
Across Sugababes, the group move through garage on Modern Love, Amapiano on After All, club music on Scorpio and orchestral arrangements on Love Language. Mutya, Keisha and Siobhan produced all the vocals themselves, keeping their harmonies at the centre as the sound shifts from track to track. Previously released songs Jungle, Weeds and Shook also feature on the album.
The trio say:
We knew from the beginning that we didn’t want to rush this record. We’ve poured so much into the songs, the sound and every detail around it, and the more it came together, the clearer it became that there was only one thing we could call it: Sugababes.
The return to their debut goes beyond the title: Liz Collins, who photographed the artwork for One Touch, shot the new album artwork too.
