Pulling from Midwest references and early listening habits to build a looser, genre-blurring pop structure.
The record moves between feral pop, punk edges, and rap textures, keeping arrangements reactive rather than polished, with early singles defining its aggressive tonal range. Slayyyter explains:
This music was made from a very pure place, chasing songs I wanted to listen to over and over after the studio. By approaching it that way, I rediscovered how much I love making music. The prompt wasn’t thinking about hits, or algorithm music. I began asking myself: If I died tomorrow and had one last thing to contribute, what would it sound like?
SLAYYYTER began as an alter-ego but is almost more like a nickname now…There’s less persona and fantasy. That’s not me. Jean shorts, Budweiser, wearing grills — that is me.
The rollout lands at scale, sold-out North America and London dates, plus slots at Coachella, Governors Ball and Lollapalooza, aligning the project with high-volume, performance-driven exposure.
