Miss Great Britain, business woman and Sunday Life columnist Gemma Garrett was celebrating following her engagement to boyfriend Andy Cosgrove.
Although the pair, who have been dating since last July, have not set a date as yet Gemma says she hopes it will be in the Spring of 2011.
A beaming Gemma, 28, spoke of her news at The Culloden Hotel as the couple celebrated in style with a bottle of champagne. She said: Andy popped the question on Saturday 13th as he didn’t want it to be on Valentines Day.
He then he whisked me away to the Slieve Donard for a romantic stay at the spa and a beautiful dinner. We’ve known each other for years and have been good friends but it wasn’t until a group holiday in July to Ibiza that we got closer.
It’s funny how you search for something in all the wrong places and it’s been right under your nose the whole time.
Andy, 27, an Engineer from Belfast, presented Gemma with a solitaire diamond ring. He said: I’m feeling amazing right now, I’m delighted she said yes. I feel like the luckiest man alive.
