Generative AI has made individual shots easier to create. The harder problem is keeping an entire production visually consistent, organised and controllable from first concept to final edit.
Nura Studios is targeting that gap with Showcraft, a new production platform that brings AI image and video models into a connected workflow for filmmakers, animators and producers.
Rather than operating as another standalone generation tool, Showcraft carries projects from scripts and shot lists through storyboards, animatics, animation and final editing inside one environment.

The platform integrates multiple AI image and video models alongside ACES colour management, HDR and SDR output, with local real-time 4K upscaling also planned.
Showcraft is already being used across projects including Noah Wagner’s animated series Rainbow Hollow and HaZ Dulull’s vertical animated micro-series Astro Burn.
It is also being used by Bob’s Burgers producer Joel Kuwahara and writer-director Jericca Cleland on her forthcoming feature film produced by Nørlum Entertainment.

The platform is currently available through Public Early Access using one-time credit packages, with subscription plans due to launch on October 6.
Nura is also extending the technology beyond its own interface through Nura API and on-premise services designed for integration into existing production pipelines.
For FM PRO TECH, the interesting shift is AI moving beyond the generation layer.
