Mureka has released V9.5 of its AI music model, shifting its focus from generating convincing sounds towards creating complete songs with stronger arrangements, more natural vocals and clearer musical direction.

The updated model is designed to improve how sections, instruments and vocal elements develop across an entire track. Mureka says this produces more cohesive arrangements, with greater attention to dynamics, space and transitions rather than simply adding more layers.

Vocals are another major focus. V9.5 aims to deliver smoother phrasing, stronger emotional expression and better interaction between lead performances and the surrounding production.

According to Mureka’s internal testing, listeners considered its generated lead vocals convincing in 61% of cases. The model also recorded 97% prompt adherence and a 95.7% match rate for requested genres. These figures have not been independently verified.

Development was informed by more than 25,000 user survey responses. Mureka says creators are using the platform to explore melodies, songwriting ideas and arrangements before moving selected material into production software such as Ableton.

Feedback highlighted several persistent problems in AI music, including inconsistency across full-length tracks, limited genre understanding and vocals that struggle to maintain emotional credibility. V9.5 attempts to address those weaknesses through stronger arrangement logic and greater continuity across a song.

The release reflects the next competitive phase for AI music platforms. Generating polished audio is becoming the baseline; the harder challenge is producing songs that sustain identity, structure and emotional momentum from beginning to end.
