Danish singer-songwriter Mirby returns with Be In Nature (while it’s still there), an alt-pop single shaped by climate anxiety, emotional overload, and the need to reconnect with the natural world.

Part love letter, part warning, the track keeps its concern personal. Bright acoustic guitar opens the frame before layered harmonies, synths, bass, and heavier drums push the song outward.

Produced with Valdemar Littauer Bendixen, Be In Nature (while it’s still there) expands without losing its human centre: warm, pressured, and still breathing.

Mirby explains:

When I started writing the lyrics, I never intended to release it. I just needed to put my feelings and thoughts about the world—and how I truly feel about it—into words. I also needed to remind myself of what works when that sense of powerlessness hits. For example, when decisions are made that threaten the very foundations of our lives. What works for me is going outside into nature and breathing deeply. That’s where I recharge. Especially if I want to find the strength to make a difference.

That emotional logic drives the track. Nature becomes a reset point, a grounding system, and a way to turn concern back into energy.

After sharing a snippet on Instagram, Mirby saw the song connect with listeners feeling the same mix of worry, helplessness, and fragile hope.

I posted a snippet of the song on my Instagram and received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback. It dawned on me that many people actually feel the same way. That the worry I feel when I turn on the news resonates with others. That’s when I knew the song had to be released. I hope it can serve as a voice saying: you’re not alone in your concern, and there is still beauty to hold on to.

Mirby, real name Miriam Brandt, has released independently since 2023, shaping alternative pop around insecurity, overthinking, self-love, and emotional contradiction. Following her 2025 EP Like This and live debut at Copenhagen’s UHØRT Festival, this single opens a more socially aware chapter without sanding down her personality.

With Be In Nature (while it’s still there), Mirby turns eco-anxiety into something melodic, intimate, and quietly actionable. The message lands because it does not shout. It breathes.
