Malmö duo MAMI UMAMI have a new single on the way. Co-produced with Alex Lopez, (Don’t) think I like you pushes their mix of alt-pop, hip-hop and club music into a rush of synths, sharp rhythms and conflicted feelings.
Jaquelin Elamiri (Miss Mami) and Leonard Furby wrote the track after their partners both moved to other cities for work. The title catches the contradiction at its centre: being happy for someone while struggling with their absence. The duo explain:
This song basically wrote itself in our shared heads in about 20 minutes after our partners had left us for work in other cities. Of course, we were incredibly happy for them — they’d both gotten amazing job offers. But no matter how happy we were for them, the sadness of being without them was huge.

That sadness gives way to defiance in the chorus, though the parentheses leave the truth in plain sight. As MAMI UMAMI put it:
The love is actually bigger than ever, and all you really want is to be in the same room as the person you love. Sometimes, though, a sweaty studio and a friend to talk to will have to be enough.
The single follows their AFTERwork EP, released earlier in 2026 via Bad Wednesday. After performances at Roskilde and Way Out West, the duo have a hometown Malmö show on 25 September and will play Viva Sounds in November.
