Mackenzy Mackay drops ‘Don’t Quit Trying’ and announces upcoming EP ‘Life, Love & Upsets’

"It'’s just a little reminder to myself and whoever might need to hear it, not to quit trying at whatever it is they’re going for”

Singer-songwriter and engaging storyteller Mackenzy Mackay has released his latest single, Don’t Quit Trying, ahead of his eagerly awaited EP Life, Love & Upsets, set to drop on June 7th. The stimulating new song arrives just ahead of Mackenzy Mackay’s sold-out UK/EU tour, which includes a stop at London’s Electric Ballroom.

With a stripped-back acoustic arrangement, Don’t Quit Trying is a heartfelt anthem that highlights Mackay’s vulnerability and honest lyrics.

Mackay reveals: “‘Don’t Quit Trying’ is basically a song about being persistent and not giving up on what you’re working towards, whether that’s a career choice, trying to learn something new, beating a PB or just anything you’re trying to achieve, it’s just a little reminder to myself and whoever might need to hear it, not to quit trying at whatever it is they’re going for”

Since his 2022 debut, Mackay has quickly risen to prominence, accumulating over 100 million streams and nearly 1 million online supporters. Don’t Quit Trying builds on his growing acclaim, following the success of singles like Cold Stare, Bruised One, and Every Last Detail, which together have amassed millions of streams worldwide.

Mackay’s ascent continues as he gears up for performances at notable festivals such as Reading & Leeds, Frequency, Oberkampf, and The Great Escape, alongside his sold-out UK/EU tour.

He has been recognized by BBC Radio 1 as ‘Artist of the Week’ and featured on their ‘Future Pop’ playlist, while Ticketmaster named him their ‘New Music’ artist of the week. With the launch of Don’t Quit Trying and the forthcoming EP Life, Love & Upsets, Mackay is ready to inspire and captivate audiences worldwide with his distinctive sound and resonant messages.
