Amsterdam-based indie-alt-pop quartet Loupe is set to dazzle fans once again with the release of their vibrant new EP, Flaws Of A Circle, available now via Excelsior and Sinnbus. Riding high on a crest of critical acclaim garnered during their recent UK headline tour, the band has enjoyed international radio play on esteemed platforms like BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, NPO, and Deutschlandfunk Nova.

Following their successful debut, Do You Ever Wonder What Comes Next, Loupe’s latest EP expands upon their established indie rock sound with elements of groove and R’n’B, showcased in tracks like Tested Waters and the title track, Flaws of a Circle. The emotionally charged Black Beauty Race explores vocalist Nina’s experience as a person of mixed race, navigating between disparate worlds.

Collaborating with producer Arne van Petegem Moss (Styrofoam) and mixer Beau Sorenson (Death Cab For Cutie, Sparklehorse), Loupe delivers a sonic gem filled with intricate guitar riffs, pulsating basslines, and dynamic drums, complemented by Nina’s haunting, vibrant vocals.

In their own words, the band shares the thematic core of the EP: “’My heart’s a wanna-be’. Flaws of a Circle as an EP is all about the tension between who you are and the expectations placed upon you, by yourself or others. About having insecurities, that can highlight your worst character flaws and make you question yourself over and over. But in the end, we all have such faults, and nobody is as perfect as a circle.”

Their music has found a home on coveted editorial playlists on Apple Music and Spotify, catapulting them to a global audience. With a reputation for captivating live performances, the band has graced stages across Europe, including prestigious festivals and tour support for acclaimed acts like Porridge Radio, Lovejoy, and Moss.

Flaws Of A Circle, Loupe stands poised to solidify their status as one of indie music’s most exciting and innovative acts, offering listeners a captivating sonic journey through introspection.
