Katy Perry is extending the scale of her Lifetimes Tour beyond the arena with a 132-minute concert film built from more than 60 camera angles.
Directed by Paul Dugdale, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris was filmed across two sold-out performances at Paris’ Accor Arena in November 2025. The production combines aerial perspectives, crowd footage and behind-the-scenes material to translate the tour into an immersive cinema format.
The film hits 70 countries starting September 2—150 UK cinemas, one-night-only IMAX screenings across the US. Trafalgar Releasing handles global distribution. Tickets on sale for 72 hours only.
Perry previewed the project at an August 26 screening at AMC The Grove in Los Angeles, where she discussed the role concerts can play in reconnecting audiences outside their digital environments.
She said:
We can be so isolated in our own little echo chambers. When you get into these places where you’re singing along with strangers right next to you, that’s very unique.
The singer also positioned imperfection as a valuable part of performance at a time when technology is pushing entertainment towards increasingly polished outputs. Perry explained:
In a world where everything is getting so automated and so perfect, it’s nice to see a little colour outside of the lines. I’m a performer, I’m a singer, but number one, I’m a storyteller.
That connection informed how Perry approached the original tour, which reached more than one million fans through 91 shows across 23 countries and five continents in 2025. She said:
I feel like my fans feel equity. They feel seen…We have a dialogue that is both spoken and unspoken.
Pairing large-scale capture technology with a limited theatrical window, the film turns the concert into a shared global experience. Behind its 60 cameras is a human argument: live music creates a collective connection algorithms cannot replicate.
