London-based artist Glowe unveils her newest single Hover, providing a captivating preview of her upcoming EP. With her signature anthemic style, Glowe immerses listeners in an otherworldly experience with this futuristic track. This release comes on the heels of her successful single Mean Girls in January, which garnered worldwide acclaim after its exclusive debut on Mollie King’s Future Pop show on BBC Radio 1.

The self-proclaimed party princess explains: ”I wrote this song after daydreaming at my part-time retail job. I found myself picturing an alien planet where I could just run around with some alien friends, maybe eat some alien mushrooms and not have to speak to customers. Oops. Putting so much time and energy into something that doesn’t bring you joy, can really get you down. That’s why I want to ‘Hover’ above other peoples bullsh*t and just have fun. I’ve spent a lot of time worrying about what kind of sound I want to make, and listened to way too many different opinions. Right now, I feel the happiest I’ve ever felt with the music I’m making.”

Released via Salt House Records and produced by Pearse Macintyre (known for his work with Gregory Porter, Izzy Bizu, Emily Burns, and Maya Delilah), Hover is an upbeat track with pulsating production that’s guaranteed to get you moving. Glowe’s almost robotic vocals add an extra layer of allure to the song, making it another standout release from the pop newcomer.

Hover finds its inspiration in Glowe’s daydreams while working part-time in retail. Exhausted from her job, she sought refuge in imagining an alien world, a place where she could escape the routine and just enjoy herself.

Glowe, aka Georgia Lowe, draws inspiration from artists like Coi Leray and Missy Elliott, infusing her music with themes of female empowerment and fearless lyricism, encouraging listeners to embrace themselves unapologetically. With performances scheduled at The Great Escape Festival, Goat Fest, and other summer festivals, Glowe is making waves this year.
