An eclectic blend of avant-electro euphoria

The debut offering from Mainline Magic Orchestra, Harri Poter, emerges as a colorful fusion of avant-garde electronica, showcasing the innovative spirit of the project. Released through the collaboration between Munich’s Public Possession label and Primavera Sound, the album presents a diverse array of sounds and beats crafted to enchant the dance floor.

Featuring the standout single Skateboarding Is Not A Crime, Harri Poter is a genre-bending sound through the realms of spaced-out electro, breaks, psytrance, ghetto house, and hard-groove techno.

This debut effort is not just a collection of tracks but a unified ode to the joy of dance, crafted with the clear intention to energize and inspire. The band describes the album as “an ode to good vibes and the desire to dance,” aiming to light up dance floors with brightness, energy, and an unrelenting pace.

Comprising Nile Fee, Daniel 2000, and John Heaven, Mainline Magic Orchestra brings together a trio of DJs, producers, and performers who share a deep-rooted love for early Detroit and Chicago house music. Their combined expertise has resulted in a debut album that not only pays homage to the roots of electronic music but also pushes its boundaries by incorporating a wide array of musical styles. Their work on Harri Poter showcases a sophisticated blend of influences, making it a standout project that caters to a diverse audience.

The album is bolstered by collaborations with some of the most sought-after producers of today, including Berlin’s P.Vanillaboy, Australia’s club sensation Juicy Romance, and Madrid’s queer-pop icon LVL1. These collaborations infuse the album with a unique blend of grooves, beats, and vocal performances, making Harri Poter a powerhouse of modern club culture.

Mainline Magic Orchestra’s approach to music is mirrored in their live performances, which are known for their theatricality and pure hedonism. Their shows are a blend of nostalgia and innovation, mixing elements of ’90s trance, minimalist house, Eurodance, and futuristic sounds to create an immersive and unforgettable experience. Fans and new listeners alike can experience this first-hand at their upcoming shows on March 15th at Shoko in Madrid and March 23rd at Sala Paral·lel in Barcelona.

With Harri Poter making its debut on shelves and online platforms, Mainline Magic Orchestra is poised to emerge as a pivotal player in the European electronic music landscape. Their first album acts as a declaration for the evolution of dance music, beckoning audiences to immerse themselves in a realm filled with vibrant energy and imaginative flair.
