President Elect, a dynamic quartet comprising Iggy Waller on vocals and bass, Vincent Barulis on lead guitar, Jude Crook on rhythm guitar, and Zak Waller on drums, is electrifying the alternative rock scene with their scorching new single, Coffee Song.

This blazing track not only sets the stage for their upcoming UK tour but also solidifies their position as the ones to watch in the rock music world.

President Elect’s distinctive blend of melodic hooks, relatable lyrics, and a nostalgic essence reminiscent of late 90s and early 2000s alternative rock results in a captivating pop-rock sound that’s all their own.

Coffee Song produced by Tayte Nickols (known for his work with Lissy Taylor, Dana Luna, and The Sheratons) and mastered by Katie Tavini of Weird Jungle (credited for her work with Bloc Party, We Are Scientists, and Arlo Parks), showcases President Elect‘s signature style. This track is a vibrant fusion of youthful pop-punk melodies, propelled by pounding drums, a driving bassline, and layers of synth and distorted guitars, creating a high-energy yet commercially accessible sound.

The band sheds light on the inspiration behind Coffee Song, stating, “It is a song about relationship struggles and modern day love, but also about being so tired and caught up that you’re ‘running on coffee’ – something most people can relate to, certainly us as a band can.

Coffee Song is the catchy, poppy, softer side of President Elect. With brighter melodies and a ‘lighter’ energy compared to our debut single REBOUND, Coffee Song shows our versatility while still encapsulating our goal of being energetic and making sure we leave the listener singing our songs.”

As they embark on their upcoming UK tour in support of their new music, wth one electrifying performance at a time, President Elect is set to take the alternative rock scene by storm.
