Boys Noize has announced 7LLVSION, his first solo album in five years, with 1+1+1, a new collaboration featuring Rotterdam artist ZEP. The album is due this autumn, released via ONES AND ZEROS.
The single pairs a shifting EBM bassline with a restless new wave rhythm. Its four-on-the-floor kick arrives later, changing the track’s momentum as ZEP moves between snarled lines, shouts and melodic bursts. The arrangement gives both artists room to push the song away from a straightforward club format.
The announcement follows Boys Noize’s work with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross on the TRON: Ares soundtrack, his performances on Nine Inch Nails’ Peel It Back tour, and the launch of their Nine Inch Noize project at Coachella. After a summer of club and festival sets, 7LLVSION brings Alex Ridha’s solo production back into focus.
Boys Noize’s upcoming dates include London’s The Cause on 3 October, Bologna’s ROBOT Festival on 9 October and Amsterdam’s Melkweg on 24 October.
