On ARTCORE DUO VI, the Turin duo move in full combustion mode, locking raw physical drive to emotional precision alongside fellow spark Milo Spykers.
Alex and Andrea operate with intent, sculpting pressure instead of chasing noise, tribal grooves wired into cinematic tension, mantra vocals used as rhythm, melody pushing back against pure force.
Forged in late-night sessions under Turin’s grey skies and sharpened on stages with Indira Paganotto, Mathame, and Nicole Moudaber, Gray Cosmo thrive on contrast: introspection versus impact, restraint versus release.
We caught up with Gray Cosmo to break down the mindset behind ARTCORE DUO VI — studio friction, Turin’s shadowy influence, and the tools driving their heavy, razor-clean low end.
Our sound is deeply shaped by Turin: its historic club culture, from the legendary past to what it’s still living today, gives depth and cosmic mood.

ARTCORE DUO VI feels like pure combustion — raw energy meeting emotional precision. What was your mindset as you stepped into this release alongside Milo Spykers?
We were really excited to collaborate with an artist like Milo Spykers. This release, with two tracks from us and two from him, was a perfect opportunity to unite two different yet perfectly compatible musical identities.
Come Together and Unshry hit that sweet spot between tribal groove and cinematic tension. What story or emotion were you channeling when building those tracks?
We were in an introspective moment: from there Unshry was born with a more mantra vocal. We built the track by integrating the vocals as a rhythmic layer, without losing the techno intensity.

There’s this haunting vocal thread running through Unshry. Where did that idea come from, and how do you approach using vocals in techno without losing intensity?
The idea of the vocal thread in Unshry came from a moment of introspection. We use vocals as a rhythmic layer: we treat them with precision to maintain techno intensity without compromises.
Indira Paganotto’s DUO series thrives on contrast and unity — what do you think your sound brought to that balance?
Indira Paganotto’s DUO series thrives on contrast and unity. Our sound adds connection and uniqueness, perfectly balancing the characteristics of the two artists involved.

You’ve both got different creative instincts — Alex with melody and Andrea with rhythm. How does that tension play out in the studio?
The tension generates unique creative energy: Alex brings emotional melodies, I bring the groove. In the studio we discuss, experiment and blend ideas into a natural balance.
From Turin’s grey skies to ARTCORE’s cosmic stage — how has your environment shaped the depth and mood of your sound?
Our sound is deeply shaped by Turin: its historic club culture, from the legendary past to what it’s still living today, gives depth and cosmic mood.
You’ve performed alongside Indira, Mathame, and Nicole Moudaber. What’s been the most game-changing crowd reaction so far?
We’ve always had great energy with Nicole Moudaber and Mathame, but with Indira the atmosphere becomes warm and super engaging: that’s where the crowd really changes.
Alex, as a producer, what’s the one synth or plugin that defines the Gray Cosmo sound right now?
Right now it’s Serum: its wavetables and modulations give us the right techno power, and custom samples for the grit that defines the Gray Cosmo sound.
Andrea, from a DJ and mixing perspective — what’s your go-to chain or technique to keep that low-end heavy but clean in big systems?
Smart, precise sidechaining makes all the difference: it keeps the low-end heavy, punchy and crystal clear on big systems, without ever sacrificing cleanliness.
ARTCORE DUO VI is out now — what do you hope listeners take away when they hit play on your tracks for the first time?
We hope new listeners feel a strong emotion, something that stays with them and accompanies them for a good while.
