Arkayla, the Manchester four-piece crash back onto the scene with DON’T LOOK FOR ANSWERS, a four-track EP that bottles everything great about British indie: grit, melody, and zero apologies.

The record hits like a full-force live set — because that’s exactly how it was made. The band explain:

Our new EP DON’T LOOK FOR ANSWERS is the first time we’ve properly written as a four-piece in a room together. With the Ella Malone EP, everything started on acoustic guitar with the finished record in mind. This time, we weren’t setting out to ‘make an EP’, we just wanted to supercharge our live set with as much excitement as possible. That energy really comes across in the songs and the production—they were built for the stage.

You can hear that intent from the first note of Doctor, a breezy, bass-driven rush written in a Liverpool Airbnb that captures the feeling of being young, loud, and right on time.

Fortune Teller hits with Britpop swagger and country-glazed harmonies — pure ‘90s afterglow. Long Way Back fires up with Circa Waves-meets-Stereophonics energy, built for the stage. Closer Waste of Time keeps it cheeky and electric — loud, loose, and perfectly self-aware.

Since debuting in 2023, Arkayla have become Manchester’s next big breakout — backed by BBC Radio 6, Radio X, and XS Manchester. Their last EP Ella Malone tripled their following; next stop: headlining the 900-cap O2 Academy on December 19.

That’s not luck — that’s sweat. While others polish their playlists, Arkayla are out there earning it gig by gig, converting rooms of strangers into believers. In a city with a legacy this heavy, that’s no small feat.

Formed through a series of happy accidents — school mates, college run-ins, and one shared obsession with guitar music — Arkayla’s chemistry feels fated. DON’T LOOK FOR ANSWERS is their mission statement. No explanations — just four lads, one room, and a sound big enough to fill it.

In other news — Arkayla are set to front Pretty Green’s Autumn campaign, dropping late October. From the stage to the spotlight, the lads are taking British style right where it belongs: loud and centre.
