Manchester four-piece Arkayla return with Doba, an up-front indie-rock single produced by Jolyon Thomas, whose credits include Kendrick Lamar, Soft Play, and Royal Blood.
Inspired by Polish explorer Aleksander Doba, the track turns endurance, risk, and late-life defiance into a guitar-led release with direct drums, bright urgency, and live-room pressure still intact.
The video extends the tribute through archival footage and unseen personal photographs supplied by Doba’s family, giving the single a human spine beyond the usual indie rollout.
It arrives after Arkayla’s biggest UK headline run so far, including a sold-out Manchester O2 Academy show and a packed Neighbourhood Weekender tent. Their next UK headline tour across September and October 2026 is already sold out, with nearly 5,000 tickets moved across 12 dates.
Following Run Kid and last year’s EP DON’T LOOK FOR ANSWERS, Doba moves Arkayla’s Manchester guitar-band identity forward with road-tested songs, real ticket movement, and a fanbase growing the hard way.
With Doba, Arkayla sound less like a band waiting for permission and more like one already doing the miles.
