Arkayla will headline Manchester Academy on 22 May 2027, following a sold-out UK tour and Back To Belle Vue, an EP rooted in Manchester and family history.
Their sold-out Manchester O2 Ritz show outsold their entire previous tour. Summer appearances at Latitude, Truck, Kendal Calling and Leeds Festival widened their reach, alongside a reported 8,000-strong crowd at Neighbourhood Weekender.
Manchester also sits at the centre of Back To Belle Vue. The EP takes its name from the city’s former Belle Vue attraction, where drummer Dylan’s grandfather worked as Head Zookeeper. That connection gives the forthcoming hometown show a personal thread beyond the jump in venue size.
Arkayla have gone from a 2023 debut to supporting Blossoms, The Lathums, The Royston Club, Seb Lowe and Andy Goodwin, all while keeping guitar songwriting at the center.
The Academy headline is the real test, since it asks whether the connection built in small rooms holds in a big one.
