There are so many talented artists in Texas. I wanted to create a project that would highlight all the individuals and give people an opportunity to receive their flowers – hence the name The Garden. I feel as independent artists, we often view hip-hop as an individual sport, but I see it as an opportunity for us all to grow together. It’s not about one of us making it out of the local scene but all of us working together to rise as one.
