"We danced in the darkness, wrestled with doubt, reconnected with God in a really authentic way, and found the beauty in the forced simplicity of our lives. We gave ourselves fully to the process of telling the truth again and not caring what the world thought of us."

Irish-American band, We Are Messengers, founded by Darren Mulligan, does not waste any time. The two-year-long concert hiatus is only a memory now. This week, the five men formation is about to tour their third studio album, ‘Wholehearted,’ across Missouri, Texas, and Louisiana.

‘Wholehearted’ is a collection of twelve heartfelt tracks that use catchy hooks to soundtrack the uncertainty of the past few years that everyone is trying to forget. We Are Messengers utilise their songwriting talents to extend a helping hand to other confused, broken people who might want to feel like they are not alone. ‘Million Miles Away’ is a strong candidate for this exact purpose.

This album also features the K-LOVE Fan Award-winning group’s current radio single ‘Come What May,’ which significantly contributes to the band’s accumulative 350 million streams and rising. Their popularity is growing and already filling arenas. With Mulligan’s powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence, new tracks like ‘Now It’s Your Turn’ will turn venues upside down, with everyone singing their lungs out.

Mulligans shares more about the inspiration behind ‘Wholehearted’: “Like most artists, our world kinda fell apart when touring got shut down. So we did what every good songwriter should do, we cataloged every feeling imaginable and tried to make sense of a strange new world. We danced in the darkness, wrestled with doubt, reconnected with God in a really authentic way, and found the beauty in the forced simplicity of our lives. We gave ourselves fully to the process of telling the truth again and not caring what the world thought of us. The album captures the heart of a follower of Jesus in one of the most wonderful and horrific times we have faced in modern history. We went all in, held nothing back. This one is Wholehearted.”

Listen to ‘Wholehearted,’ it is out now.
