Walk the Waves are a three piece indie-pop band from Los Angeles, with a raw and danceable 80s sound. Formed in early 2018, when brothers Davison and Daniel Ancheril moved to Los Angeles, they eventually met Jazley Chua at the Los Angeles Recording School and began working and writing together. With a nostalgic approach to songwriting, Walk the Waves crafts singable melodies over grooving rhythm sections.
With influences ranging from disco guitar sounds, and work that blends the likes of the 1975 and The Weeknd, the band creates a brand of feel good indie-pop rock. Their debut EP is on it’s way, but first comes this fiery single that shows what’s to come from the band in 2020. Full of hooks and motifs that stem from vocals, brass and guitar, the bass groove acts as the vital piece of the puzzle that keeps the track grooving.
