VIDEO HIGHLIGHT: VIET CONG ‘SILHOUETTES’

VIET CONG1‘Silhouettes’ is the thrilling autobiographical number by Calgary’s band Viet Cong, taken from their impressive self-titled debut album out now via Jagjaguwar (and Flemish Eye in Canada).

Lead vocalist Matt Flegel told New York Times’ T Magazine: “We were playing a show in a venue with really sketchy power, and I was electrocuted badly. I was bleeding out of my ears and couldn’t hear properly for a few days. I was feeling anxious about it, and you can kind of feel that anxiety in the song.”

The video to the track, directed by Brook Linder, it’s a clever combination of vintage sci-fi and horror movie-inspired cinematography, practical effects, and VHS-inspired interface design.VIET CONG2Tour Dates:
