Based out of Melbourne the hypnotic singer-songwriter Benedict has recently revealed their truly remarkable new track, Wake Up. Standing up and taking names, Wake Up is anthemic at its very core. Amongst the cinematic soundscape, Benedict touches on empowerment and social change in their distinct and soothing breathy vocal tones.
Sharing their thoughts on the track, Benedict discussed, “Wake Up is a people’s anthem. I saw a need to speak out for all peoples, all nations with the shocking things we have witnessed over the last few years, through government issues, wars, COVID-19, Black Lives Matter and injustices for the LGBTGIA+ community. We all fight one another, but what is the truth? The truth is that we are all human. If we can come together, break down fear, lies, and fight the division, we will be free.”
Produced by Dean Tuza and mixed by Lee Groves, Wake Up is a transformative and truly hypnotic listen. Alluring from the opening notes, this is a track that you simply cannot look away from, cannot skip. Commanding your attention from the off.
With a music video as powerful as the track itself, Benedict has created a truly remarkable piece of art within this 4.07-minute long track. Calling for recognition, change, and evolution within society, Wake Up is a formidable anthem with a hauntingly beautiful message at its heart.
Benedict is proving to be not only the voice of a generation, but the voice of an entire people the world over in their newest release, Wake Up.
