UK artist Casper D Goat has arrived on the music scene with a bang thanks to his newly released debut single, Doing the Most (feat. Odysi). Despite it being his first release, the south Londoner has managed to rope in some heavy hitters – it was produced by JustAcoustic (James Jarvis), who has written for the likes of Ariana Grande and Summer Walker.
The track does not disappoint. Serving up an irresistible fusion of Afro-pop, R&B and rap, it leaves a lasting impression with its addictive melodies and a huge hook that will no doubt have everyone singing along after the first listen. Doing the Most marks the birth of a new star, who has an exciting future ahead.
The single is lifted from Casper’s debut EP, Heartbreak on the Dancefloor, which is out now. Speaking more on the release, Casper D Goat says, “The melodies on Heartbreak on the Dancefloor are a fusion of everything from music to life experiences that inspired me to this point, written in a way to bring a mixture of raw emotions to the dancefloor to be it positive or negative. Doing the Most is the most upbeat of the seven songs on the project. This song started with James Jarvis on the guitar during one of the sessions for my project. It was spontaneous and completed in a couple of hours.”
Clearly, one to watch out for in 2022, we can’t wait to see what else this talented newcomer has in store. Doing the Most and the rest of Heartbreak on the Dancefloor are available to buy/stream now on all platforms.
