Moonshine Heavies, a talented Alt-Rock band from London, have released a delightful and refreshing new single called Two Fingers.
Despite being only their third release, Two Fingers presents another glimpse of the band’s infectious indie exploits, classic rock undertones, and strikingly complete sound.
The track was lovingly recorded and produced at Lightship 95 Studios by the incredibly talented Giles Barrett and Dave Holmes, known for their exceptional work with artists like Bess Attwell, Alfa Mist, Ezra Collective, and Ghostpoet.
The combination of lively bass lines, intricate guitar melodies, and precise drumming in this collaboration creates an enchanting and captivating musical experience.
The lead vocals in this song are absolutely amazing, and they effortlessly draw you in with their catchy and charismatic style. The entire sonic experience is high-octane, yet still thoughtful and contemplative.
The track’s infectious chorus is accompanied by a beautiful wave of harmonies, creating an ethereal and atmospheric shimmer that complements the vibrant lead vocals. The music is truly captivated by the extra layer of depth and texture added by it.
Two Fingers gradually builds up momentum with a gentle progression. It then transitions into one of two instrumental guitar breaks, adding to the band’s unmistakable 70s rock influences. The song ends with a strong final choir, leaving the listeners captivated and satisfied.
When chatting about the track, the band kindly shares: “Although the song is drenched in hazy summer vibes, beneath the initial sunkissed simmer the true core of the song centres around the concept of raising two fingers to someone after a breakup. (You know the V sign!)
The lyrics elaborate on the feeling you have when you think that you know someone, but then suddenly realise that they are in fact a stranger. Frustration comes easily when someone attempts to hide their own selfishness within an apparent selfless act – but you can either choose to be upset, or you can dust yourself down, boogie and raise two fingers instead.”

Moonshine Heavies has had a successful run in London, performing at renowned venues such as the O2 Academy Islington and Camden Assembly. Their energetic live performances have established them as one of the most thrilling new rock bands in the capital.
Make sure to mark your calendars for their exciting upcoming shows at Camden Rocks and 93 Feet East. In addition, they are actively participating in War Child UK’s celebrated ‘RISING’ campaign, an initiative that supports a fantastic cause.
