The search to find the Face of Blush continues in its fourth year as chic designer wedding shop Blush, on the Lisburn Road in Belfast, seeks to find the face of its advertising campaign for 2012.The gorgeous Helen McAleer, who judges most felt encaptured the essence of the Blush brand, was the lucky lady to take the title last year and had her dreams come true with a stunning wedding, proving how successful the amazing campaign has been. Speaking about her win she said, “I still can’t believe it, I had such a special year, not only did I fulfill my dreams by becoming Mick’s wife, but becoming the Face of Blush was such a special and exciting experience. The whole thing was wonderful – from meeting all the other blushing brides, to winning the competition and feeling like a princess. The photo-shoot and advertising campaigns were amazing, getting to see myself in the glossy magazines was something I had never imagined. Blush made all my dreams come true, I can’t thank Aileen and the team enough. I still pinch myself when I see the ad campaign on the store window. ”The prestigious competition offers prizes including a designer bridal gown and a mother-of-the-bride outfit from Blush Boutique, professional hair styling from top stylist Ruairi Curran at Blue Hairdressing and make up by the wonderful Caoimhe Curran.

New additions to the prize list this coming year include teeth whitening and one facial aesthetic procedure by expert Martina Collins for either the mother of bride or the bride herself as well as the use of luxurious wedding cars for the winner on her big day.

The icing on the prize cake – for most – is the professional shoot with photographer extraordinaire Khara Pringle who will transform the winner into a blushing bride for the Blush advertising campaign across the country.

Owner of Blush, Aileen Wilson said “We can’t believe we are in our fourth year, we have had such a fantastic and positive response every time and it seems to be getting stronger with each year. The hardest part is choosing the perfect bride to take the title as so many girls could easily win. Helen was a great Face of Blush in 2011 – we felt that her warm, friendly and glowing persona represented everything a Blush bride should be. We’re not looking for models, we’re simply looking for brides who just beam with happiness and should epitomise everything a Blush bride should be. She doesn’t have to be young nor super glamorous either – many of our customers are slightly older and are tying the knot for a second time, so this year I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for those kinds of brides too.”

Aileen continued, “We are so pleased to be able to offer such an extensive prize package for our Face of Blush and we’ve added a new and totally different prize this year with the beauty treatments by Martina Collins. The competition really does offer the main elements needed for a dream wedding, including the all-important gown. Most of all, we just want our Blush brides to feel amazing on their big day!”
