To celebrate her 20-year career, influential artist Tori Amos, personally handpicked songs spanning her incredible catalogue for the album ‘Gold Dust’. Check out the amazing track ‘Flavour’:
‘Gold Dust’ features The Metropole Orchestra and is released on October 1st, 2012 on Deutsche Grammophon / Mercury Classics.
The release will be accompanied by a European and US orchestral tour with opening performances in Rotterdam, Brussels and Warsaw.
Gold Dust is a personal journey through the Amos songbook that reaffirms the timelessness of her music.
Amos says: “My relationship with all of these songs has changed over the years and they have changed my life.
So it wasnt just about capturing the past it was about realizing that the songs had a new narrative now – 10 or 20 years later than they did when I originally recorded them”.
Tori Amos is a pioneer across multiple platforms, she was the first major label artist to offer a single for download, had her songs turned into graphic novels, and produced groundbreaking videos throughout her career.
Amos is also a noted humanitarian and co-founder of RAINN (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network), which is the United States largest anti-sexual assault organization.
