Tom Baxter announces a return to the Limelight

Tom Baxter
After selling out shows in The Village and The Olympia, Dublin, ‘This Boy’ Tom Baxter makes a welcome return to Belfast this October to treat fans to a very intimate show. Tom will showcase songs from his new album ‘Skybound’ ,

There is something in Tom Baxter’s songs for everyone. He writes the words for the feelings that we all have, and stirs up such emotion that anyone who remains unmoved by his passion and intent can have nothing but a heart of stone.

Born in Suffolk, raised in his parents’ hotel/pub, but now resident in the Big Smoke, Tom Baxter has grown from a musical background (his parents were themselves folk musicians) into a hugely talented musician and songwriter in his own right.

SKYBOUND, Tom Baxter:
On 12th December 2006 Tom Baxter and his band stepped into Jeremy Stacey’s (credits include Nerina Pallot and Sheryl Crow) studio, tucked away, behind the renowned 606 club in Chelsea, London. They proceeded to record a body of ten live tracks in five days.

With lots of laughter and late nights they put down what was the basis of Tom Baxter’s second album ‘Skybound’, a record full of love, vulnerability and musical dexterity. ‘Skybound’ is loosely biographical, charting the journey from boy to man. Tom’s soaring vocals highlight the poignancy of the bitter sweet, through to optimistic lyrical content of the album.

During this period Tom began work on ten reflective canvases, each canvas integrally reflects the sentiment of each song and showcases Tom Baxter in his element, an undoubtedly important 21st century artist.
