The Weeknd’s five sold-out Wembley Stadium shows demonstrate how major tours can generate value far beyond ticket sales, driving international travel, streaming growth and charitable funding.
Combined with two Manchester dates, his seven UK performances attracted more than 450,000 fans, including ticket buyers from nearly 150 countries. The shows also raised over $350,000 for the United Nations World Food Programme and Global Citizen.
The impact quickly reached streaming platforms. The Weeknd generated more than 11 million UK audio streams during the past week—a 55% increase against his previous four-week average.
The Highlights climbed to No. 8 on the UK albums chart, while Hurry Up Tomorrow more than doubled its sales. House Of Balloons / Glass Table Girls entered Spotify’s UK chart for the first time, with several catalogue tracks also returning or climbing.
Launched in 2022, the After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour has grossed more than $1 billion from over 7.5 million tickets across 153 shows. The remaining 2026 dates will take the production through Europe and Asia.
The Wembley run shows how stadium touring now functions as a complete music-business ecosystem—combining live revenue, catalogue discovery, tourism and social impact within one global campaign.
