Bringing an irresistible, 80’s sheen to his outstanding productions – Norwegian alt-pop riser Metteson returns with an incredible EP track in the form of Convince Me. Lush layers of synths dominate proceedings, with emphatic pop buildups providing the foundation for the Norwegian star’s emphatic vocals.
Working on the new EP, Metteson took inspiration from the greats in the alt-pop and LGBTQ+ Music scene such as Perfume Genius, Robyn and Christine and the Queens. He’s also worked alongside top Nordic production talent in Vetle Junker (Aurora, Gundelach) and Matias Tellez (Girl in Red, Boy Pablo).
Listening to the new single, you automatically think of Robyn, speaking on the new project he states: “Convince Me is my first EP, custom made for your ups and downs in the spring of our weird and wonderful year to come, 2021. I hope it tells a story of love and ambition, that’s inspiring to the limbs and pleasing to the ears.”
