Discover Senobia‘s Time to Breathe EP, every song is a new way to explore the world of love. Her lyrics are filled with powerful images and figurative language, creating really inspiring tunes. It’s an intimate look inside all her relationships. An emotional journey, with highs and lows of platonic and romantic relations.

Senobia had an unusual way of writing Time To Breathe, she had the melodies in her head and would record them as voice notes to come up with a first version of the lyrics.

After creating a catchy track, Senobia concentrated on adding chords to give her the desired emotion, the sense that she wanted the songs to have. With the key message of, “being able to still find that happiness within yourself when things around you seem really dark”

For her first musical project, she worked with the talented Carter Sanders from Plaid Dog Recording Studios as well as with some super skilled session musicians.

Her debut album is definitely a reflection of her own taste. Locked Out and Feelins are great examples of that – she nailed it.

The artist hailing from Columbus, Ohio has a vast experience in singing, teaching vocal artistry, composing and leading bands. At first, gospel, doo wop and pop music caught their attention, eventually, though, she was heavily impacted by blues and jazz’s soulful vibes.

With her skill set developed from studying music since the age of nine and has attended prestigious music programs including The Ohio State University School of Music and Shenandoah University’s Music Conservatory.

As far as influences are concerned, she turns to Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Jackson, Sarah Vaughn, Etta James, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse.

Senobia has a voice so unique and elegant that it is impossible not to be enthralled immediately.
