ONE of Northern Ireland’s best known classic rock bands The Beat Poets have been lined up to play the Harp Ice Cold Big Gig later this month.
The band, fronted by charismatic singer John Dinsmore, will be headlining straight from an appearance at the legendary South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.

The Belfast band have just released their new single and will be heading up the classic rock instalment of The Harp Ice Cold Big Gig at The Spring and Airbrake, Belfast on April 23.
They will be supported by Derry/Londonderry rockers Swannee River and Last Known Addiction who hail from Banbridge and Belfast.
Swanee River are set to bring their renowned party atmosphere to the Big Gig by playing material that has bagged them a nomination for ˜best live act” and ˜best band” in the 2010 Emerging Talent Awards.

Last Known Addiction round off the bill and promise to deliver their trademark classic rock with big vocals that is reminiscent of their influences, Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters and Led Zepplin.

To celebrate the amazing line up of bands at the ever-popular classic rock Harp Ice Cold Big Gig, the Harp Facebook page is running competitions to win VIP tickets to the gig.
The site is also home to all the latest news on The Harp Ice Cold Big Gig which showcases the finest new and up-and-coming talent from across the island of Ireland each month in 2010.
