Rising French DJ / producer Ténéré drops a slice of sleek, timeless dance-bliss with the new tune ‘Say Laa Vee’, lifted from the forthcoming compilation ‘Club Nowadays, Vol. 1’ compilation due 3rd June via Nowadays Records.

He explains: “Say Laa Vee sounds like an anxiolytic. It is the Béchamel sauce that comes alongside the boring cauliflower. It is an invitation to go away and take a few days off in the Luberon region with great friends. It is music to make people dance, and its sample reminds us that even during good and bad times, ‘Say Laa Vee’“.

Ténéré Top 5 Influences

Lil Wayne – A Milli (Harmonimix Remix)

I had an epiphany the day I heard this piece by James Blake under his pseudonym Harmonimix. At the time he was totally unknown, I remember looking for him in google and only finding one picture of him. Things have changed since…

Green Power – Quasimoto

One of the masters of production, both on the groove, and on the manner to work the voices and the samples. A must for me.

François de Roubaix – Les Dunes D’ostende

One of my favorite film music composers: François de Roubaix died young at the dawn of his glory and left behind a magnificent discography largely sampled out in hip hop music.

Ryuichi Sakamoto – Rain

Sakamoto is the symbiosis of European classical music with oriental sensibility and lyricism. His music touches me a lot.

Sébastien Tellier – La ritournelle

There are a few songs that you never get tired of, and to me, this is one of them.
