Andrew Keeler, who is from New Orleans/Louisiana, is the brilliant mastermind behind the Tasty project. He’s a talented singer-songwriter who knows how to create something delicious and satisfying.
Shots (feat. Loop Instinct) is the name of Tasty‘s new jam and has plenty of smoothly hot mix of alternative pop, afrobeat, dancehall, funk, groove, hip-hop goodness!
There’s everything you need here: killer beats, soulful and strong vocals, and it’s super catchy and edgy.
Tasty says: “The music I’m making is some of the most beautiful, nasty, tasty, and diverse art to be released by a single person and it is going to be a beauty to watch it play out.”
His main influences include a great variety of artists including Mumford & Sons, Lil Wayne, Lauryn Hill, Mac Miller, Jason Morant, Mike Posner, and many others.
When talking about the creative process of his music, Tasty reveals: “There have been a series of ups and downs that have influenced and changed how I perceive, write, and ultimately create my music from the soul. To avoid going into depth with the topic, I can sum it up by saying that I have found an outlet in creating music that truly brings me peace and I hope to see my listeners having that same feeling of serenity and joy that it brings me.”
Tasty provides a brief explanation of his most recent song, including its significance and its origin:
“So when I write songs, the message usually comes to me during the writing process or after and for this one, I knew almost right away I wanted to write a song with a temporal triple-entendre on “Shots.” That being introduced as shots on a basketball court, then immediately into shots of alcohol and ultimately the main message I am trying to get across is to shoot your shot!
There have been so many instances in which I wish I could just go back and stop overthinking and shoot my damn shot. Maybe this song will push somebody to just do it and stop overthinking everything.”

His main influences include a wide variety of artists, including Mumford & Sons, Lil Wayne, Lauryn Hill, Mac Miller, Jason Morant, Mike Posner, and many more.
Tasty rocked the house at some cool bars in the New Orleans area like The Howling Wolf and The Willow. Fun fact, The Willow used to be owned by “Jimmy’s Music Club” and is even in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
He’s got a special message for all you there: “Like the message of the song, me even releasing it is my “shooting my shot” because this kind of song is out of left field compared to my current popular releases but who cares??! SHOTS.”
You’ve got to keep an eye on Tasty this year – his music is seriously worth checking out.
