Durham, North Carolina based duo Sylvan Esso was not meant to be a band…Amelia Meath asked producer Nick Sanborn to remix her track Play It Right…but they felt there was something more important than a one-time handoff.
Their self-titled debut is a collection of vivid addictions concerning suffering and love, darkness and deliverance… Sylvan Esso represents the fulfillment of their fortuitous encounter. Motion comes with melody. Words come with ideas. And above all, pop comes back with candor.
Sylvan Esso will support tUnE-yArDs in Europe in May, kicking off at the Village Underground, London on May 12th.
