The Stranglers Announce March Tour With Co Antrim Band Therapy? As Support

After more than four decades on the road The Stranglers have announced they will start their UK tour in Belfast this spring.

And the English rock band who emerged from the punk scene in the 70s will be supported by Northern Ireland legends Therapy?

On March 3 the band will take their The Definitive Tour on the road starting at Belfast’s Ulster Hall before moving on across the rest of the UK.

Best known for their 1984 hit ‘Golden Brown’ The Stranglers have clocked up 23 UK top 40 singles and 17 UK top 40 albums in their 40-odd year career.

In the 70s they are remembered for hits such as ‘No More Heroes’, ‘Peaches’, ‘Always the Sun’ and ‘Skin Deep’ whilst in 2003 they scored a UK Top 40 hit with Big Thing Coming, which was seen as a return to form.

This latest tour is set to coincide with the planned re-release of their first seven albums (six studio and one live) originally issued on the UA and EMI/Liberty labels.

Special guests, Co Antrim band Therapy?, best known for their 1994 album Troublegum which clocked up a million sales worldwide, will take to the stage as support on the tour as they prepare to release their 15th studio album early this year.
