Stormzone vocalist John ‘Harv’ Harbinson is to release his first solo album – with the help of a highly talented backing band made up of some of the finest musicians on the local metal scene.
Under the banner of Harv’s Twisted Mind, the new recording will be entitled ‘Rise Again’ and some samples of what to expect have already been released, with three tracks streaming via the new project’s official Soundcloud page.
Speaking of the project Harv said: “This is not an ordinary solo project… ‘Twisted Mind’ is a rock extravaganza featuring some of the best musicians in the business combining to create an album of power, passion, flamboyance and excitement all to be witnessed if you dare step through the doors.
“Every member an evil ringmaster, it is the songs that are the main attractions, each one an Evil clown, a fearful freak, a ghostly encounter, we’re coming to town, setting up our big top and we challenge you to take a peek inside.”
The new music, all of which was written by Harv and former Last Known Addiction / Stormzone guitarist Andrew Baxter, also features Sacramentum guitarist Shaun Nelson, Cross Eyed Mary drummer Gordy Gray and Snakebite bassist David McVeigh.
No release has yet been announced, but it will coincide with the publication of a new book , Ulster Myths and Legends, featuring 14 specially commissioned illustrations from Harv.
