Steve Stinson’s new single Evergreen looks at the one pursuit that stayed with him through changing careers, countries and priorities: songwriting. The blues, folk and Americana track arrives ahead of his debut album, Cocoon, due in October 2026.
Stinson says:
Evergreen is about taking a part of me that’s never really fallen off my radar my entire life. It’s always been something I’ve been passionate about and now is the moment where it not only gets put in front of other people, but also to really understand how others resonate with it.

Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, raised between the US and Australia, and now based in Papua New Guinea, Stinson draws on a life shaped by movement. Evergreen gives that history a clear focus: the decision to bring years of private songwriting into public view.

Across Cocoon, Stinson explores identity, change and the passage of time. Evergreen offers a starting point for that story, centred on something that endured through every move.
