Mike Andersen hits album ten without playing it safe. All Out Of Love opens a raw new chapter, turning inward to trace life after divorce.

Disorientation, resets, and the fragile hope that follows starting over.

The songwriting moves through longing, doubt, change, and hard-earned hope with disarming clarity. There’s no theatrical oversharing here. Just lived experience, handled with restraint and emotional weight. It’s an album shaped as much by silence and uncertainty as by melody.

Sonically, All Out Of Love was built instinct-first. Andersen teamed up exclusively with producer Christian Ki, abandoning the original plan to work with multiple collaborators. The result is a focused, organic partnership that let the music unfold in real time. Andersen says:

I started working with Christian Ki — and never looked back. From the first session, the energy was there. It was obvious we were meant to make the whole album together.

Ki — fresh off Simone Tang’s Things I Remember — sharpens Andersen’s instincts, striking a clean balance between rawness and polish.

Across ten tracks, All Out Of Love moves between stripped-back intimacy and electric bite. Singles Only For You and Don’t Waste Your Time set the tone, the latter already pulling P5 rotation. A record in motion, never settling, never softening its edge.

Blues and roots still sit at the foundation — but as always, Andersen refuses to treat them as rules. He says

I love blues deeply. But I insist on doing it my way. I won’t promise to play by the purist handbook.

That freedom defines All Out Of Love. From the blues-heavy Big Mouth to songs that step far outside the genre’s borders, the album resists niches in favour of feel. It’s hand-played, emotionally focused, and internationally minded. Music that leads with craft rather than category.

More than twenty years into his career, with five Danish Music Awards, over 2,000 shows, and stages shared with BB King and Joss Stone behind him, Mike Andersen still sounds curious. All Out Of Love doesn’t celebrate longevity. It earns it.
