Soldier is a heartfelt anthem inspired by the real-life stories of Jackson’s close friends who, later in life, summoned the courage to embrace their authentic selves. Speaking about the single and its accompanying music video, Jackson explains:  “We all have different characters to ourselves, wearing multiple hats and what feels like different lives at times! However, no matter who you are to people, you are always and only YOU for yourself. And there is only one REAL you. In every scenario, you must be your own soldier. We all have to be true to ourselves no matter who is counting on us because we could never be a great parent, great at our jobs, a great sibling, friend or partner until we are true to ourselves.”

Soldier was co-written with the talented Ramzi Sleiman, a previous collaborator who joined forces with Jackson on her No. 1 hit Flipside.

With Soldier, Jackson not only revives the nostalgia of the ’80s but also offers a glimpse into her musical past, including her teenage rock band called Cold Front, formed back in 1985.

Jackson’s career has been absolutely amazing, with hit after hit like the instant crowd-pleasers Flipside and Urgent. Her TV show Stacey Jackson in the ’80s, which ran for an impressive three seasons on various channels.

After producing, writing, and hosting a total of 54 episodes in 2023, Jackson shifted her focus to a new project: her book, How A Gangsta Rapper Made Me A Better Mum.

At the age of 40, the singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, TV presenter, and a proud mother of four, started her music journey and hasn’t looked back since.

After four albums, over a dozen singles, and collaborations with music legends like Snoop Dogg, her career is a clear result of her power of determination and passion.
