Songwriter Joe Parsons, has been striking our attention as an artist unafraid to address personal and socio-political issues in his music. His incredible songwriting ability, reflects his own personal experiences and those around him, in a unique and vulnerable way that instantly endears him to the listener. The new single Fog is a lush piece of songwriter pop, utilizing lush piano elements and an intriguing groove to juxtapose his soft, affecting vocal line.
Originally from Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, now based in London, Joe has been playing piano and making music since the tender age of five. The new album, marks nine years since he came out and his journey through that experience and how it’s shaped him to this day.
“Fog is a is an honest account of growing up not being able to connect with any community, straight or LGBTQ+. In growing up creating a straight character, lying to loved ones and how hiding who you are for so long – the damage that is caused is vast. But more importantly, it’s about connecting with myself, hope and moving forward.”
