It’s a cinematic, powerful piece of Pop Songwriting…
Songwriter and performer Azadeh is debuting her new single The Cure, however her musical experience goes well beyond this new track. Since venturing into music, she’s become an accomplished performer and has toured alongside the likes of Robert Cray, Jools Holland, Melanie C, Deacon Blue, Maxi Jazz and Status Quo. As well as featuring on an album track from Lil Dicky.
As a talented and driven young songwriter, she’s also aware and grateful of her position in being able to pursue her dream. Her parents fled the Iranian revolution in 1979 to find a new home for the family, giving her the opportunities she has today.
“I often think about what my life would have been like for my brother and I if we’d grown up in Iran. What freedoms would I have sacrificed? Would I still be able to express myself freely as an artist and as a woman? Absolutely not.”
The new single The Cure faced issues around overcoming anxiety. It’s a potent blend of organic and electronic elements, with a powerful chorus hook throughout.
