LA’s own infinitely talented Amy Correa Bell has recently dropped her most eclectic release yet. Working with a number of equally talented DJs to create a collection of tracks as thrilling as those who created them. During the lockdown last year Amy brought friends Beat Ventriloquists, Wear Patterns, and Pierre-Pyer onboard to help breathe new life into her 2018 release Fuck It I’m Good. Amy Correa Bell shared with us her thoughts on this project: “I am definitely a free spirit and this remix encapsulates that side of me!”
Having originally released the track back in 2018 as part of her debut EP AMY818, Amy Correa Bell has only gone from strength to strength with each single being more captivating than the last. With a sound that is so entirely idiosyncratic to herself, she combines influences from a range of genres such as trip-hop, classic hip-hop, R&B and pop. Tying it all together with an infectious groove, Fuck It I’m Good (BV Remix) is an unmistakable and perfect summer track.
Expressing just why this project is so dear to her heart Amy Correa Bell shared: “this one is special because I was able to collaborate with producers that I have known since the mid-2000s. It’s all about finally deciding to put myself first & the revelation of what music was supposed to be. My Intention with this remix is to provide a ‘loung-ey’ feel-good dance mix that can be played poolside, in a hotel, or after hours..”
With an exciting year set out ahead of her, Amy Correa Bell is set to take the world by storm this year with a slew of new releases expected to land in the coming months.
